Mariee Ami Wedding: Courtney and Braden's Rehearsal Dinner

Courtney Shea and Braden Smith met while in college at Auburn. Courtney played for the Auburn softball team and Braden was an offensive lineman for the Tigers. Shortly after graduation, the couple got engaged and moved to Indianapolis where Braden signed to play for the Colts.

With a lot of help from her sister, Courtney decided to have the wedding weekend at The Montage at Palmetto Bluff. The family had never been to the property before but was confident it would be a perfect fit. We started the weekend off with a low country boil at Moreland for the rehearsal dinner.

We wanted Friday night to be a representation of Braden. When we asked what were his hobbies outside of football, everyone immediately talked about his love for growing vegetables and gardening. We took this passion and ran with it.

Jackson Durham is known for their entrance tables and this one certainly set the tone for the whole event!

We knew we wanted something special for the design so we partnered up with Jackson Durham for the whole weekend. They took our vision of sunflowers, natural elements and the color purple to create an amazing plan that we all loved!

One of my favorite details was the groom’s cake by Minettee Rushing. We asked her to create a cake replicating Braden’s garden. Wow, she surpassed all our expectations! The guests loved inspecting every inch and could not believe it was a real cake.

The night was so much fun! Guests loved the casual approach to the party and left with great anticipation for the wedding!
