Entertaining Essentials: Gameday

Football season is here! When we are not spending our Saturdays working weddings, our office is cheering on The Tide, Auburn and Clemson Tigers (Tara and Kendell). Planning and entertaining is in our blood so it should come as no surprise that we like to host Gameday parties. Whether your battle cry is Roll Tide, War Eagle, Geaux Tigers, or Hotty Totty, keep your Saturdays fuss free by checking out these tailgating essentials.

1) CHARCUTERIE PLATTER

Our number one suggestion for hosting a tailgate party at home is to invest in a great tray or cheese board you can use for charcuterie. These take very little work or cooking prowess, as all the ingredients are store bought. Arranging your favorite snacks is all that’s required! If these beautiful boards seem daunting, our go-tos for inspiration are Savor Style and Meg Quinn.

2) GOOD SPEAKERS

Having friends over for the big game is pointless if you can’t have a dance party at half time! A smart speaker can gives you hands-free control of your music. Of course you could also tune in for your teams’ play by play if you subscribe to sports radio.

3) BAR TOOLS

Bar ware is crucial for your Titos drinking friends! In addition to mixers and garnish, make sure you have the necessary tools to serve liquor. Having a signature cocktail is something your guests will remember!

4) COCKTAIL NAPKINS

Add a little pizzaz to your party with cocktail napkins in team colors. You could always add a monogram or elephant (office favorite!) embroidery to customize your napkins.

5) SERVING PIECES (CASSEROLE DISHES FOR THE SOUTHERNERS)

Make sure your hot bacon swiss dip looks its best in a stylish baker. A dish that can go straight from the oven to the table makes for easy service and less mess.
