Entertaining in Style from Patina

I love to host on any occasion but there is something about the holidays that make it so much more fun! I spent the afternoon in one of my favorite home stores, Patina, to get some inspiration. With direction from owner, Melanie Pounds, everything about this store screams style and sophistication. Here are a few of my favorite finds that will take any festive soirée to the next level.

  1. While I do not cook, I am a pro at the reheating game. For Christmas dinner, I am serving a pot of chili and grilled cheese sandwiches. This beautiful ceramic cookware goes from the stovetop to serving. I love the modern look and it will pair perfectly with the black Stoneware Serving Bowl by Chip and Joanna Gaines I purchased earlier this year.

  2. My favorite type of holiday entertaining is having last minute parties and pop in guests. I have found having snacks on hand is the key to keeping spontaneous entertaining stress free. Your guests will enjoy these nuts, which can be served in chic dish. Salami rolled in chocolate and shortbread amaretto cookies are delicious as well. With the big playoff game happening around New Year's Eve, I would highly encourage you to serve Cacao's version of oatmeal cream pie in honor of Coach Saban.

  3. I love the look of a clean bar. So I don’t like putting a bottle of white wine in a bucket of ice. These Cookut carafes are so sleek and a great solution for keeping your bar sleek. They will keep the wine cold throughout your party.

  4. Everyone knows the importance of candles; I keep a stash of votives ready for any occasion. You can take your candles to the next level by adding in colored taper candles. I love the organic vibe they give a table. I’ve enjoyed gray ones this fall, but for Christmas I am going with green.

  5. Depending on where you live, December weather can be crazy. Alabama is freezing one day and sunny with a high of 65 the next day. Regardless the weather, I try to use my outdoor patio for entertaining as much as possible. These amazing oil burning fire buckets by Creative Danesare great looking and can be set around your patio to give off a nice glow.

If you are in need of more inspiration check out Patina.  You can find them on instagram @shop_patina.  They can be your one stop shop for all your holiday needs.
