Mariée Ami: Laney & McCauley
A tasteful late October wedding adorned with just the right amount of seasonal details. Congrats to this beautiful bride and groom - we loved being a part of your big day! A few words from the bride...
Please tell us a little about your story / how you meet / etc. We met when we were both working for the same law firm. The firm had a conference in Nashville and we exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch over the summer. When he was traveling back to law school at Ole Miss, he drove a few hours out of the way to take me on a date after only meeting once before. We’ve been together ever since!
What was your vision for your wedding? Favorite detail? I envisioned our wedding as an unforgettable night spent with our family and friends. I wanted to have a classic wedding at The Country Club of Birmingham, but also wanted pull in elements that made the east room look different. I think the gray drapery, the round bar, and the floral arrangements hanging really made the room look unique and it was everything I had envisioned and more!
My favorite detail was the giant globe that was hanging over the round bar in the middle of the room that was covered in greenery and flowers. I thought it was stunning and really brought the room together.
What was your favorite part of the planning? As an out of town bride, my favorite part of planning was getting to visit with Neillie and Louise when I was home. I had so many ideas and thoughts about what I envisioned for the wedding and it was difficult to communicate everything that we wanted from afar, but they captured every detail to make the wedding exactly what we wanted. It was so comforting that they took care of it all and allowed us to enjoy our engagement and just be excited for the wedding in the coming months.
What was your most memorable part of the day? The most memorable part of the day for me was walking out the church after we were married! I never been so happy and so grateful to marry my best friend and to have all of our family and friends there with us!
