Mariée Ami: Jamey & Scott

We loved planning all the classic details that went into this green and white Mississippi farm wedding!  Thank you Jamey for letting us be a part of your big day - cheers to you and Scott! A few words from the bride... What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning? Since as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to the visual of mixing the nostalgic with the new. I’m really not sure I ever had one specific day planned in my mind but I knew I wanted people to walk through the entrance and say “this is so them.” Scott and I love to be outdoors and we knew that we wanted nature present in every way we could introduce it. Providence Hill Farm was the first and only venue we visited, the moment we entered the gates I knew there was not another place that reflected both of us more.

What was your color palette and your style vision? My color palette was neutrals with white and greenery highlights. We also incorporated grey and a beautiful smoky blue. When we started to incorporate the soft linen fabrics, the smoky hued soft seating and of course the beautiful venue, our wedding took on a very French alfresco style. Neutral and simple botanics, paired with eclectic contemporary décor made the day almost ethereal.

What was your favorite moment? I was in love with the final look of our wedding party. The bridesmaids all wore earrings that were made by a dear friend and designer. They were so feminine and one of a kind. And the groomsmen all just looked so handsome, like out of a storybook! When I saw the whole wedding party come together that day, in that scenery, it truly took my breath away.

What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be? My one piece of advice to a bride-to-be beginning to plan is let the pros do what they do best! I am a HUGE people pleaser and having people fuss over my needs was hard. But this industry is filled with professionals like that are each so incredible at what they do. Although planning can be difficult at times, try and relax and enjoy your time and let your team handle it all! It all flies by before you know it!
