Magic City Rehearsal Dinner Spots
Often we are asked where to have a great after rehearsal dinner in Birmingham. This can set the tone for the wedding day and after all that planning we understand wanting it to be just as nice. There are a range of options in this town, few classics we love, something for the alternative couple, and just in the last year some exciting new spots have opened up. Here's an overview of some that have stood out to us!GALLEY & GARDEN: (seats up to 80)Formally, The Veranda, this has the exterior charm of your classic old southern home with a recently updated exterior. (Cover and above photo: Rob and Wynter) SWANN LAKE STABLES: (seating varies depending on rentals) Perfect for the outdoorsy groom, you can't beat the ambiance of this location and still so close to the city! (Above two photos: W&E Photographie) CAFE DUPONT: (seats up to 60) One of our favorites downtown with an inspiring menu. THE CLUBHOUSE ON HIGHLAND: (seats up to 100) Old Birmingham located in historic downtown, you don't need a lot of decor with this beautiful early 19th century architecture! (top photo: Spindle Photography, bottom photo: Rylee Hitchner) AVONDALE BREWERY: (seats up to 125) For the bride and groom that want to step out of the box a bit, a fun way to showcase Birmingham's unique local spots to out of town guests! BOTTEGA:(seats up to 38) Nothing says "The Magic City" like one of Frank Stitt's restaurants! A Mariée Ami favorite that never gets old! THE NEST: (seats up to 60) One of this town's newest additions we love how customized you can make your event here. A blank canvas with an open floor plan with signature vintage plaster walls. This is also conveniently located in the Avondale district surrounded by many other popular restaurants and bars for the after party. CANTINA: (call for seating, can accommodate larger parties) For a more casual affair we love this colorful spot located in Pepper Place. Plus, who doesn't love mexican?
