We love Hand Lettering!
Beautiful calligraphy has always been a part of the wedding world. Today it has taken on many more shapes and sizes. They array of styles we work with is becoming more diversified all the time. While we still love the traditional pen-ship looks, we have enjoyed seeing our brides work with new calligraphy styles that better express their personalities in their paper suites. Luckily Birmingham is filled with many talented calligraphers and today we are excited to share a handful of their work! (cover photo from Meme Davis)

Each has his or her own more specific guidelines they like to work with but here are a few standard rules we typically go by...
• Spell out everything you want spelled out! (ex: Road, Highway, Alabama, Post Office Box, Reverend, Junior)
• Save the Dates can be more casual with names. It is best to include a separate section of your list for Save the Dates where you indicate how you would like the names to be spelled out. This causes for less confusion and a quicker turnaround!
• Center lists with the zip code on the last line followed by what you would like on the inner envelope. Example:
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith 235 Maple Boulevard Birmingham, Alabama 35243 Mr. and Mrs. Smith
